Pink Drive

What is the Pink Drive Campaign?

The Pink Drive Campaign is designed to increase awareness and educate the public about breast cancer and offer opportunities for disadvantaged communities to receive testing with state of the art technology. EARLY DETECTION SAVES LIVES – and this is what the Pink Drive hopes to achieve through testing and education. Driven by Cause Marketing Fundraisers, the Campaign reaches out to both the corporate and underprivileged communities by mobilising their two pink mobile unit trucks (Mammography and Educational), which regularly screen and educate women about the importance of early detection of cancer and how it can save lives. Many have described it as a doctor’s room on wheels making it accessible to women who cannot afford medical aid or visits to the hospital.

Reebok, as one of the official sponsors of the Comrades Marathon and an ongoing supporter of the Pink Drive, have opened the door for the Pink Drive to be included as one of the official charities of the Comrades Marathon. This provides a platform to educate the public, invites people to become involved with the campaign, as well as raises funds to help run the trucks and introduce further mobile testing trucks to reach into the rural areas of South Africa.

How Can I support the Pink Drive?

Reebok have supported the Pink Drive for the last three years and this year’s Comrades provides yet another exciting platform from which to support this cause. As the official footwear and apparel partner to the Comrades, Reebok are set up treadmills where anyone could run for 10 minutes and Reebok donated R10 to Pink Drive for every 10 minutes run. At the official Comrades Store Pink Zigtech wristbands were sold and all proceeds go towards the Pink Drive.

Visit a Reebok Concept Store near you to purchase YOUR pink wrist band  for R20 - all of these things and more represent a life you may be saving in support of this campaign.
